You now have the choice between two paths when you decide to join The Four Clans: either you can be the classic Clan member and walk the path of a Clan wolf or a House dog or rogue dog. You have the choice between four Clans if choosing the Clan path: ThunderClan, StormClan, WindClan, and SunClan, each with their own territory. Each month all of the Clans come together at a meeting at the Fourtrees. As is well known, boundaries are fiercely guarded against all others.
Or you could choose the "soft" life of a House-dog. Living in the suburbs, your character can live amongst the other dogs on the safe side of life, not even aware of the life living in the depths of the large forest nearby. Perhaps your character decides to escape from this life and live in the streets and alleys of Hartford, the nearby suburb. These dogs don't believe in StarClan and may be rough and vicious, so beware. Their packs would have ranks of their own that are unlike those of the Warrior wolves. Maybe your journeys would, for some reason, take you into the depths of the forests to meet the Clan wolves. There is a high possibility that you may be chased off or injured because of your past lifestyle. If you do a good deed for the Clan leader, you might even be able to join the Clan, though you'd have to leave your past life behind.
It is your decision to choose what path you decide to take. Before you do, however, reflect upon each.
Pros of a Clan wolf:
- Visit gatherings
- Be born into a closely-knit family
- Know of StarClan ancestors
- Live by the Warrior code
- Have a family to tend to you if you become sick, an easier lifestyle
Cons of a Clan wolf:
- No random disappearances allowed
- No roaming
- Perhaps too intensive a lifestyle, or too prohibiting
- Live by the Warrior code
- You must think about everyone else before yourself
Pros of a House-dog
- Roam wherever you'd like
- Possibly have a human to take care of you
- No family ties
- Be able to wander the streets of Hartford
Cons of a House-dog:
- Cannot visit gatherings
- Warrior wolves are almost always hostile towards you
- Must work harder to gain respect
- No family
- You must fend for yourself if you run away from your human
- No classic pup -> apprentice -> warrior ranking system with names (may be a pro or con depending on preference)
If you decide to join the Clans, please post your character biography under your preferred Clan- but make sure that it is accepting! If you wish to become a House-dog, post your dog character under the House-dog biography section. Thank you, and good luck with your choice!
