This merry little river runs through the RiverClan territory and borders with ThunderClan. Plenty of fish can be found here during Greenleaf and Newleaf, and it's a great spot to teach apprentices how to fish.

Ignoring her struggles he just gripped her all the more harshly, pinning her down he suddenly froze as a feeling made his teeth bare themselves more savagely and a cold cruel glint enter his orange eyes. A wolf had escaped, suddenly furious he laid into the dog, ripping at her taking his intense fury out on her, how could a wolf escape? It wasn't supposed to happen! He'd have to find Spy or Agent to find out who it was that'd escaped, then he'd hunt down that wolf and drag them back by their scruff. Snarling angrily he stalked out from the bush covered in the dogs blood, composing himself by taking long deep breaths the brute sighed feeling more calm once he'd settled himself. First order of business was find out who'd escaped, now he was more settled the brute remembered that there were one or two ways a wolf could escape the dark forest, glancing over at Siren he moved over the shingle expertly before stopping paws deep in the water "Kill as many and as often as you can, I'm going to find out who escaped" with that the brute turned abotu and headed for the rendezvous point they'd agreed upon where they could meet and exchange information.

He really was a strong wolf, since it seemed like her struggles where doing absolutely nothing to slow him down. Snarling louder when she found herself pinned, she tried to take advantage of his sudden stillness to try and wriggle free. She had no idea what it was that suddenly made him so furious, but there was nothing she could do as he laid into her, ripping her fur to shreds before leaving her covered in blood. Far too in pain to move, the gentle retriever closed her eyes, her breathing shallow. Everything hurt so much, her scruff was stinging where he'd dug his teeth into her, and all the rips and shreds were so painful. It was beginning to just be all one ache, and she wanted to be left alone. The idea of another wolf coming near her was enough for her to move slightly and open her eyes, checking that she was safe and alone. Satisfied that she was, she closed her brown eyes again, letting out a soft sigh.

Watching in horror as Follyfoot was pounced on, Ted scrambled forward as best he could on three legs, keeping his injured paw up off of the stones. Hesitating however when she told him firmly to go warn the others he decided that that was probably a smart course of action. He’d be able to get the others to go and help Follyfoot, he began to limp off unaware of the other wolf watching in the distance. Unable to go very fast, the ebony black dog labored on the stones, however noise distracted him. Looking over as Folly was dragged into the bushes, fear ran down his spine, spinning about as the huge white wolf loudly tore into his friend. Forgetting the order, he’d been given, he was unable to ignore the fact that she was in peril and so did his best to trot over, laboring slowly he struggled forward. The white blood covered wolf sprung out of the bushes and walked off to talk to someone else, however ted was past the point of caring what the scary wolf did he was far more interested in getting Follyfoot back to camp where they could make sure she was okay and fix her. The thought of getting his paw fixed was forgotten, making a fair bit of noise on the stones, Ted carefully made his way over to the bush “Follyfoot?” he asked softly, not wanting to alarm her by suddenly turning up and seeming like he was there to attack her. About to call out again he spotted her and guilt filled his chest, “Oh no… Follyfoot, I’m so sorry” this was really all of his fault, if he’d gotten back to camp quick enough he wouldn’ thave gotten grabbed by Eclipsestar and Follyfoot wouldn’t have come to find out where he was. “C-C’mon I’ll help you get back to the wolf packs camp, they might have someone who can help” ever so gently nudging the brown female his dark brown gaze was filled with guilt and concern. She had to get up, he couldn’t carry her back, not with only three working paws, if they didn’t move the other wolf might come and try to hurt them, he nudged the warrior again concernedly his usually wagging tail tucked underneath him a little.

Hearing the clatter of paws on the stones, the terribly injured retriever tried to hide more in the bushes, afraid that it was the big white male coming back for her. She didn't want to be near anyone, especially males, and she hurt far too much to move anywhere. Maybe if she closed her eyes, she'd look dead enough that she'd be left alone and not get bothered any more. When Ted's gentle voice finally filtered through the painful haze that was clouding her, she lifted her head a little with a soft whine. He was okay, he was safe. Letting her head drop back to the bushes she was lying in, she ignored his nudges. She didn't want to move, it was too painful to move. “Go back to camp, Ted,” she murmured, as firm as she could. He had to go back to camp, to let the others know that they had a trespasser, and to get his paw fixed. “Warn the others.” Managing to move enough to look at him again, a pleading look entered her usually gentle eyes. “Please.”

Her paws padded with ease over the stones that lined the rivers bank as she looked around for the missing retrievers. "Follyfoot. Ted. Where are you?" Moonbreeze called out softly using a pitch that carried. She glanced back at the following warriors as she paused to see of they had picked anything up. The sky was becoming dark fast and soon they would only have the light of Starclan and the moon to guide them.

Lightheart stuck close to Moonbreeze, though she was looking in a different direction, hoping it would help find them faster. “Follyfoot? Ted?” She called out as she used her nose to try and find their scent trails. She had a weird feeling in her gut, and it put her on edge. The darker it got, the more nervous the girl seemed to get.

Siren's cold green eyes flicked towards the blood-covered male as he left the bushes. Part of Siren wanted to look at what remained of the she-wolf, but she knew it wouldn't be a pretty sight. Then again, she was used to seeing blood and gore. She did start out in a cruel, ruthless pack, anyways. RiverClan was quite a change for her... though it seemed like her cruelty never left her. Heartbreak had brought it out to its worst. Break the wrong heart and bad things were bound to happen. She loved seeing the reactions of wolves getting their hearts shattered into pieces, whether it was the death of loved ones, or heartbreak, or... whatever. After all, it was only fair! If all good things in Siren's life were taken away, then nobody else deserved happiness. It's why she began killing in the first place- to see misery, to achieve fairness. Her deceitful words worked like the dark song of a siren- her name fit her well.
At Eclipsestar's words, the siren nodded firmly. Oh, she'd kill whenever possible. If a wolf encountered her, all alone and foolish enough to follow her, she definitely would kill. What grief that would bring to their friends and family! It was a sweet, sweet thought. She could push them into the current of the river and drown them, like her tradition, or she could simply attack them and rip into them. Both were good options. The she-wolf proceeded to lift her head upon hearing two wolves approaching. Her eyes remained cool, yet they contained hidden hatred. Siren calmly swept her tongue across a paw, keeping her gaze on the strangers. She couldn't kill them. No, she was outnumbered. Last time the siren had been outnumbered, she met her end. Of course, now she couldn't be killed, but she could possibly be stopped.

He'd been doing his best to keep her company, she'd not wanted him to come too close so he'd kept a couple of feet away from her with his tail tucked trying to think of something to do. She'd looked up at him and pleaded that he go back to camp and warn the others, deciding he'd do that because then he could get their vet or something out to help Follyfoot. Nodding his head, brown eyes studying hers for a moment, the curly dog turned about and moved away from the bush, hearing voices calling out for him and Follyfoot a wag came back to his tail. Trotting forwards on three legs, his aching paw lifted up and away from the ground he came across the other two wolves and spoke "You have to get your vet, a healer? Someone who can fix stuff, like wounds yeah! you have to get them here now! Follyfoots hurt bad and she wont let me get too close and she wont be able to swim back to the island. I'll stay with her, but you have to get someone who can heal, please" his gentle brown eyes glittered with unhappiness, he'd tell them everything once they'd brought someone who could tend to the dogs horrific wounds. Truth be told he was scared, he didn't want his new best friend to get hurt, especially because she'd come to his rescue, guilt filled him making his head lower and his tail tuck more. If he'd run quicker, if he'd been smarter or braver, then she wouldn't be lying hurt back there, attempting to rid himself of the lump in his throat by swallowing Ted refused to let them any closer. If she wouldn't let him close, why would she let the others? Instead he continued to insist that they got someone that could help her, there was no way she'd be swimming through the lake for a while.

Ripplesplash had followed after them but wasn't at all excited about them missing. Upon reaching their destination, Ripplesplash grew worried as she looked towards the darkened sky. "Moonbreeze, we should head back, we shouldn't get into fights when dusk is breaking." she said worriedly. She was scared and still upset about what Silentpaw. The gray she-wolf wasn't at all in the mood to go on a mission to save a dog.

Moonbreeze spun around and snarled at Ripplesplash seeing how she wasn’t helping them. Then the gray female had the nerve to suggest they return to camp which made the deputy snap. ”Get over yourself Ripplesplash. Silentpaw has never done physical contact with anyone and I have never gotten close to him despite raising him and his sister. It’s getting dark, boohoo all the more reason for us all to make even more of an effort to find Follyfoot and Ted.” she told her angrily. Spinning back around she only made it a few more steps before spotting Ted and his words only increased her worry. ”Ted calm down. Twistedfoots back at camp Lightheart and Ripplesplash will go get her and help bring her herbs back for Follyfoot.” she told him with a soothing tone. Turning her head around she looked at both females behind her and flicked an ear telling them to go swiftly. With help on its way she looked back at the male retriever. ”Now where’s Follyfoot Ted?” she asked ready to follow him to her clan mate.

Trotting up with his tail brushing his ankles, the Irish wolf hound flinched slightly at the sharp smell of blood that he could guess belonged to Follyfoot. Moonbreeze seemed intent on getting closer, however he himself didn't think that was the best course of action, if he'd been attacked or something had happened he wouldn't want to be smothered by others. So the dog kept back wading into the water, soon enough his attention was directed onto the various fish that still swam within the river, it wouldn't be long before the river froze and they'd not be able to fish out of it until new leaf. Wading deeper slowly, the dog hummed to himself quietly, thankful that the fish in the water couldn't hear him, holding still until the right moment he lunged forward and dug his teeth into the pale coloured fish, killing it by applying more pressure the dog tossed it up onto the bank returning his focus to the silent armored creatures that swam through the water with the current. In a way he envied them, being able to breathe under water would be very useful, especially in winter they could dive deep and fish out the tastiest of morsels

Lightheart caught the scent of blood shortly before Ted’s voice reached her ears, perking them up as she darted over, hearing her orders and nodding to Moondbreeze. “I’ll be back soon.” She offered before she took off, not wanting to picture the state that Follyfoot was in. They needed a healer, and they needed Twistedfoot for wounds inflicted by another creature. She couldn’t swim. She had made a mental note of what she had heard so she could tell Twistedfoot… surely the medicine wolf would know what to bring for that – something for pain, to ward off infection, and to patch the wounds. Hopefully, she would be swift enough to save her life…

The siren coolly observed the oncoming wolves, and almost found it amusing that one wasn't thrilled about saving the two missing canines. Upon noticing another canine approaching, the she-wolf's form gave out, and she disappeared into the river. Yet, she did not leave. Her focused gaze saw that the oncoming dog was heading into the water. Oh, how perfect! This was a perfect chance for her to heed Eclipsestar's words! Had he stayed away from the river, she'd simply leave him alone. How unfortunate for him that he decided to go fishing, it seemed. Yep, he was definitely a RiverClanner. Perhaps she should draw him out further? ... No, that wouldn't work. There was an easier way for her to attack.
The she-wolf kept her eyes on the dog, remaining a dark shape in the water. Slowly, she crept towards the male, before shifting into her white-pelted form. Swiftly, the siren sprang from the water, clamping her jaws around the throat of the canine, before dragging him further into the river with her. It was fortunate for the female that she didn't have to worry about drowning anymore. She could simply drag the male deeper and deeper into the water, holding him under with her and pulling him into the churning current as she went. The more he'd struggle, the harder she'd clamp her jaws down, teeth firmly locked into the dog as she pulled him further and further, deeper and deeper. It was so sweet, the sight of blood staining the water, swept with the current... She wondered how his clanmates would react to his death. Did he have a lover? What about pups? Oh, she hoped so. She'd love to see their misery.

Not noticing the danger until it was too late, he struggled when he was suddenly pounced upon and dragged deeper into the water. Struggling as best as he could, the large dog held his breath as best as he could when he was pulled deeper into the waters of the river. Idiotically he didn't stop struggling, loosing his energy and breath quickly, no no no he couldn't die, he'd finally become mates with Graystar he'd tasted happiness and they were going to be happy together no matter what others thought. Moonbreeze couldn't loose him either, she'd lost a mate and a son, she couldn't loose him as well, the thought of them that needed him in the clan encouraged him to struggle more. Moonbreeze, Greystar, he couldn't leave them, his jaws parted as he tried to growl and escape but he couldn't and the large dog could feel his body growing heavier and heavier, while his traitorous lungs continued to draw water they couldn't filter into themselves. Despite everything the powerful dog had tried he'd been unable to stop the creature who'd dragged him into the water, killed by the river that kept his clan fed, Stormblades eyes grew dull and the fight went out of his body as his lungs drew more and more water in until finally he drowned

He'd headed out of camp that morning to go on a hunting trip, he hadn't found much so had wandered down to Perches flow in time to hear Ted talking to Moonbreeze. Narrowing warm gold eyes at the words, he quickly slipped over the stones to where he could smell his former apprentices's blood. "Heya Folly, You're looking pretty dog gone torn up, I bet you wont be wanting the clan mother hovering. They've sent Lightheart back to collect Twistedfoot, I'll keep the others at bay" his voice was soft, smooth and warm, he knew her quite well after all he'd trained her and they were close friends. Moving out of the bush he strode confidently over the stones in time to hear Moonbreeze ask Ted to show her to Folly "He can't do that Moonbreeze, She wont want wolves hovering around, the best thing to do is for you all to go back to camp and leave tending to follyfoot to myself, Ted here and Twistedfoot. Anymore than that will just freak her out" his usual laid back voice was being used however his gold eyes were serious, he wouldn't be letting anyone aside from twistedfoot to get close to Follyfoot at this point in time. He had no idea that Moonbreeze had been named deputy, and might have questioned Graystar for doing so, however as far as he was aware right now, she was just a young warrior like himself. The blue hued male was resolute and firm, while his body language just backed up his words and thoughts that nobody would be getting any closer to Follyfoot.

The medicine wolf had followed Lightheart's scent after she arrived at the river, knowing that it would probably lead her to where Follyfoot was. She wasn't used to running and was already starting to tire out, but she couldn't slow down now. Not while someone needed her. It took her a few minutes before she caught scent of blood, and she quickened her pace. She soon came upon the sight of some of her Clanmates. She didn't see Follyfoot right away, but realized that the dog was in some bushes after a few moments. She hurried over, dropping the beech leaf full of herbs by her paws as she examined Follyfoot's wounds.

It looked as if someone had torn into the dog. Her pelt was bloody and shredded. The dark gray wolf leaned forward to quickly listen to Follyfoot's breathing to make sure it was regular. She noticed instead that it was shallow. She was upset with herself for not bringing along a herb to help with breathing, but she didn't have time to go back for some. She needed work on Follyfoot's injuries now. Twistedfoot began by using cobwebs to soak up the blood, applying some pressure in an effort to at least slow down the bleeding. She then made a poultice out of the raspberry leaves, comfrey root and marigold and began to apply it, starting on Follyfoot's more severe wounds first. The poultice would help with stopping the bleeding, as well. Once she finished applying the poultice, she sat back, staying at Follyfoot's side in order to monitor her condition. Until she was stable, it wouldn't be wise to move her back to camp. "Was Follyfoot the only one who was injured?" she asked. In her hurry, she'd failed to look at the others to see if they had any injuries too.

She'd ignored Ted's hovering, and her old mentor's words, trying to just die so that it would all stop hurting. Only distantly hearing the conversation, she breathed a sigh of relief when the black dog moved away. She really just wanted to be alone, so that she could work out what she wanted to do next, and tend to the pain on her own. Drifting off, she was lost in the pain when she heard more pawsteps and then something suddenly was pressing down on her, sending bolts of pain through her. Immediately reminded of how the big male had pinned her, she pulled away abruptly and snarled, her hackles raised. The usually calm and happy dog ignored all the pain her movements were causing, seeking only to keep herself safe and away from anyone else. When her warning was ignored, she snarled again, deeper and more fiercely before snapping at the wolf in front of her. She wanted nothing to do with wolves, not now, not for a long time. And she most definitely didn't want any wolf touching her. Scared enough that she ignored the pain from her wounds, the retriever managed to get to her feet, backing away and continuing to snarl at them all. Normally gentle, now fear filled and angry, brown eyes flicked over them that were crowding her and she promptly decided that here was where she didn't want to be. Giving a couple of her wounds a quick swipe with her tongue, she turned tail and fled, intent upon finding a place where she could curl up and nurse her wounds alone and in peace.

The siren kept her jaws firmly fastened around the struggling canine. It was somewhat of a challenge, undoubtedly, but the more he struggled, the more he wore himself out. So she gladly allowed him to fight against her, refusing to let go, keeping him underwater. She could tell he'd be dead soon, anyways. When she felt him go limp, the she-wolf made her way back to the shore. As she returned to land, dragging her kill with her, the words of RiverClanners caught her attention. It seemed like more had gathered, tending to Eclipsestar's victim. 'How perfect,' she thought, eyes glimmering. They'd be there to witness the corpse, and she'd witness their pain. It was sweet! Not to mention, she didn't miss the suffering of the torn-up retriever. The warlord had done quite a good job; she seemed quite traumatized. Understandably so, however. An encounter with the male was always quite grizzly, not something to simply shake off.
Siren's ears twitched somewhat, and she dropped the corpse of the wolfhound, swiping a pawful of sand over him in distaste. She lifted her head towards the gathered canines, and hummed softly, "Yet another victim of the very water RiverClan thrives off of. Such a pity." She knew many wolves lost their lives in the river that ran through the old RiverClan territory. She was one such fatality, long, long ago. It was a weapon when utilized right. If she pushed in the right wolves, from the heavily pregnant, to those simply too weak or injured to fight the current, and it would off them for her. It's irony was beautiful to the siren; yet karma did seem to catch up with her, as the river where she murdered, eventually became her own killer.

Moonbreeze stepped forward and opened her mouth to challenge Stonepool when she heard the sounds of someone swimming. Her head turned to see Twistedfoot arrive and head into some bushes that blocked the white female gaze indicating that must be where Follyfoot was resting. However before she could do anything the sound of something heavy hitting the ground caught her attention and she spun towards it. Her fur stood on end at the sight of a strange wolf stood over the form of Stormblade and it was the females words that made her gaze drop to see who she had killed. ”No STORMBLADE!” she cried out before lundging at the unknown female with a snarl, ”I WILL KILL YOU FOR THIS!” She had already lost her mate, oldest son and now the one who she had always seen as her father and that was devastating for the white female who seemed to only lose her family these days.

The siren reacted quickly as the female lunged at her. Swiftly, the white form dissolved into a black, wispy mist, allowing the other wolf to pass right through her. Siren quickly reformed in the shallows of the river, head lifted while a smug grin was worn across her face. Oh, what a sweet reaction she got! She could feel the rage of the RiverClan she-wolf, the grief, the pain. It was what the siren loved the most; others had to feel the pain she felt when she lived her miserable life. A soft laugh left the muzzle of the green-eyed she-wolf, observing the enraged RiverClanner. They shared quite a similar appearance, oddly enough, though the siren was somewhat bigger.
The siren regarded the said she-wolf with a soft, melodic purr. "Ah, I'd like to see you try. I am already dead, darling. There'd be no point." She looked away momentarily. "It's sad that my name isn't remembered to this day. The siren, with her dark song, her words so false, so fake to gain trust. Luring her enemies and rivals away from camp to their deaths, to be drowned in the river or slaughtered next to it. Who left their corpses in the water, staining it with their blood before it was swept away with the current... What a frightening tale to tell the pups." A sigh left the canine before she shook her pelt, sending water flying. Yet, it never seemed to dry. "I leave you to grieve. But I'll be watching. Weep for me all you want." With that, the siren turned and disappeared into the water.
