| Wandering along and weaving in and out of the trees along the river, the wispy bit of smoke was quite content to follow the river for a while. He'd had fun with the Shadowclan wolves, and now that it was hurting too much, he'd abandoned that territory. Perhaps later when it wasn't so hurtful, he'd go back and see what was happening. But for now, he followed the sudden panicked splashes, curious about what was going on. Hovering over the river for a while, he watched the flailing wolf in curiosity as it splashed and panicked before being swept up against the fallen tree. He darted over, resuming his wolf shape and sat on the log to look down at the sopping wet male. "Well hello, friend. Having a nice swim in the river, are we?" | |

| In the midst of her hunting practice she'd heard a rather loud splash, glancing up she hadn't seen anything that owned the splash until a head popped above the water and screamed for help. Watching him and realizing that he couldn't swim, the red apprentice took off down the bank after him, although she could barely swim herself and as an apprentice was far smaller than him Maplepaw would try to help him. Keeping up with the swift current as best she could, Maple did her best, spotting the fallen tree and recognizing that if he got hold of it she could try and get him out she pushed herself to run faster. "Hold on! I'm coming" by the time she reached the fallen tree however there was a black stranger sitting on it with his silver eyes studying the wolf that she assumed was from riverclan. He was bigger than her and looked stronger, although something about him was off she was more worried about the wolf below him "Please! Help him! He could drown" young and immature she didn't know that such a plea could be used to get her into debt she was more concerned about saving the Riverclan wolf stuck in the cold water of the river. At the end of the tree and wary of putting more weight onto it, she looked at the sodden wolf in the water before looking back at the black wolf hoping that he'd help | |

| Glacierpath was holding onto one branch with all the force his mouth could give but suddenly that branch snapped and he fell into the water again, disappearing below its surface. He felt the need to swim and swam with all his might. His face broke the surface and he swam powerfully until he reached the log again and tried to joist himself up but he couldn't get a good grip. "Help hoist me up, please!" he begged the mysterious silver-eyed wolf. He was panting and water dripped from his nose and temporarily floppy ears due to the wetness. He felt the current pick up and he had to hold on stronger but he kept slipping. | |

| Spotting the young shewolf pelting down the bank, Atrel watched her curiously, perking his ears towards her at the sound of her pleas. She seemed quite a sweet little thing, and he decided that he wanted to get to know her more. Flicking the sodden wolf at his feet another glance, he sighed and dug his teeth into it's scruff, dragging it out of the water and onto the fallen tree. "Perhaps learn how to swim, he-wolf," he said lightly and padded over to the bank that the she wolf was on. "Hello firefly. Is he a friend of yours?" This time, he made sure that his pelt was warm, like he truly was a living wolf, and he sniffed at her, giving the tip of his tail a friendly wag. "It's nice to meet you." | |

| Watching with relief as the black wolf with silver eyes leaned down and pulled the stranger out of the water, rather relieved that he was okay she gave a brief polite wag of her tail "nice to meet you, I'm Maplepaw no i haven't met him before, but i couldn't stand by and let him drown!" dipping her head in respect she stepped around and warily onto the large tree "Come on, you'll be safer on shore" once the stranger was on the pebbly beach of the river she began grooming him rather fiercely brushing his fur back to allow air to dry his thick fur. She knew how to do so as she'd almost died of drowning herself, which was also why she had a large amount of reluctance to jump into the water to save him, once she was more satisfied with his fur she took a few steps back figuring that he was a Riverclan wolf and likely would get in trouble with Rainstar for inviting him onto Thunderclan land but she didn't have much choice! He was lucky to be alive, her attention briefly flicked back to the strange black wolf, it was rare for her to meet one interesting wolf in one day so to meet two was rather exciting. | |

| Amused at her response, Atrel sat where he was and watched as she tended to the drenched older wolf. She was quite a sweet thing, and he was beginning to take quite a shine to her. "You're very kind, firefly," he observed. "Is this not a wolf from your pack?" She had to be what his lover had called an apprentice, still quite young, and likely not allowed to be out and about on her own. Padding over, he sat again and flicked his tail around his paws neatly, his games with the clans forgotten for now. They could sit on his riddles and cryptic words while he amused himself with this young sweetheart. "Are you always this kind to stranger, little one? It's a rare thing to find, such a kind heart as yours." He was going to stick around a while, she was heavily in his debt for asking him to save the other wolf, and it was no mystery that he'd be intending to fully take advantage of that. | |

| Glacierpath coughed up a little bit of water once he got safely upon the shore and then collapsed onto his belly, heaving and water dripping from his nose. His golden eyes wide open his massive head glanced back towards the river flowing past them rather fast. He turned his attention to his savior and their assistant, he assumed (Maplepaw). His ears kind of lowered a bit as he heard the compliments the strange black wolf paid to the ginger/red she-wolf. He felt a warm feeling inside of his belly which was strange to him since he was nearly soaked to the skin. He slowly stood up and shook himself off, still coughing a bit of water up but not as much as he was before. "Th-thanks for saving me.....I owe you my life." he told the two of them as he began grooming his fur back and then curled his tail around his paws. He was a little handsome with a silver, darker grey, and white coat. His golden eyes the color of leaf-fall leaves or sun-lit rocks. He turned towards the black wolf, a little deadly glint in his eyes as for some reason he seemed to want to protect the apprentice-like fae.
"M-my name is Glacierpath, though you can call me Clumsyfoot if you want to, for that's basically what I am." he barked through heated fur due to embarrassment. He wagged his tail a little bit and then lowered his ears. He knew by StarClan he was on ThunderClan land and he was trespassing.

| Glancing at the black wolf shyly as he mentioned her being kind, not used to attention from anyone let alone two males at once she shifted her weight on her paws a little uncomfortably. "No He's not I've never met him before"] the black stranger sat down and asked if she was always this kind to those she'd just met "Yeah well, with so much anger and hate in the world, a little kindness goes a long way" she firmly believed in being kind, although she also normally followed the rules the secret mentor had asked for her to come here. Perhaps it'd been fate that she was to rescue the grey and white wolf, pondering on that she quickly forgot the fact that saving the Riverclan wolf had put her in heavy debt to the black wolf. Watching as the riverclan wolf stood and shook himself off he coughed some more water up then thanked them, making her smile warmly at him "It was no problem" watching him groom his fur and then sit up curling his tail around his paws it struck her quite suddenly that both males she was with were rather handsome. Feeling her paws grow warm with embarrassment, the pretty enough ginger-red she wolf lowered her green eyes to her creamy paws although she quickly looked up again when he named himself Glacierpath "Thats a nice name, its good to meet you! Don't worry about being Clumsy you'll get better if you work at it and practice lots" that'd helped her, and she wasnt one for sitting around moaning and complaining about life being difficult. Looking between the two it was clear the youngster wasn't sure what to do next, shifting her weight she ended up sitting down to better watch the pair of them. [/color] | |

| About to respond, the silver-eyed wolf paused as a shiver ran down his spine, and amusement flickered into his eyes. Well, well, a wolf had managed to escape. And since he knew what went on in the dark forest like the back of his paw, it obviously had been the gentle shewolf who'd died from giving birth. Pleased with the outcome, and making a mental note to go and find her to keep an eye on her, he mulled over the next set of events with a slightly vacant look in his gaze. For now, his interest in the two young wolves in front of him had vanished, for he had far bigger plans that concerned him right now. It was quite a while before he returned his attention back to the young pups, and he offered the shewolf a gentle smile. "My apologies for drifting off." Moving his silvery gaze to the male, he considered the other for a quiet moment, rather amused by the glint in his eyes. If the male wanted a fight, then he would learn quite quickly that he'd lose, but that was just semantics. Both were heavily in his debt, and he'd keep that in mind. "I'm sure you'll find a way to repay me, Glacierpath," he said politely, catching the threads of the conversation again. "I'm afraid I must be off, however. I'm sure we'll be crossing paths soon, however." Giving the shewolf a gently nudge, he padded off, waiting until he was out of sight before changing into his shadow form and darting off to their rendezvous site. Eclipsestar would likely want to talk to him about who had escaped.

| Glacierpath watched as the silver-eyed black male made his departure and he gulped nervously. He shook himself off even further and tucked his tail in, fear-scent slightly surrounding him. He was trespassing - on ThunderClan territory, and it was all by accident. He turned towards Maplepaw and frowned a bit, lowering his ears even more. "Sorry for the trouble, whatever your name is, but I believe I need help again to cross. C-could you perhaps lead me to your camp that way I have an escort home? F-f-for.....you see-" he cut off as his fur heated up in embarrassment, " I-I-I don't know how to swim. I never learned how. So can you help me? he finally finished his question. As he stared at her he found himself crushing a bit on her. For she was quite pretty and kind and he didn't know any other females in his Clan who were like that.
He looked down at his paws, his nose still dripping water. He felt like such a disgrace to RiverClan - a 'drypaw' they called him. "One who didn't like getting their paws wet". Ripplesplash didn't seem to care and actually defended him. He started wishing he were as brave as her. There were a lot of things he lacked in RiverClan - friends, the taste for fish, the wanting to swim. He was so much different than them. His sister was pure RiverClan and so was he, though they acted like complete opposites. When he was an apprentice he wouldn't step a single one of his claws in the water, and by the first time he learned how to hunt, his sister was learning how to hold her breath and dive underwater. He knew nothing about swimming, all that he needed to paddle, which he didn't know how to do. He whimpered despite of himself at how much of a failure he was. He felt his name wasn't very suiting of himself. | |

| Trotting up and not letting herself limp the first thing she smelt was Maplepaw and then the distinct fishy smell of Riverclan, instantly on guard she lifted her tail and perked her ears forward showing classic signs of dominance. Following the scent until she came across Maplepaw and a grey wolf she didn't know, Rose had arrived in time to hear him beg to be taken to camp so he could have an escort home. Her lips parted into a snarl revealing sharp white teeth, "Get off Thunderclan land NOW fish face" coming inbetween the unnamed wolf and Maplepaw she pointedly pushed the apprentice away from the grey warrior "Oh sure, ask to find our camp so you can know where it is later if you want to attack thunderclan! Theres no way you'd get an escort onto Riverclan land since you know, its not our land. Get your ass off of our land before i drag you off scum" flicking a warning look at Maplepaw silently revealing to the apprentice that she was displeased with her for breaking the rules Rosethorn returned her attention to the pathetic looking riverclan wolf. All of the pain and misery from what she'd experienced now finally had an outlet, her thick fur was bristled and her hackles had lifted also, her pale blue green eyes were zeroed in on the warrior from a rival clan as she advanced a few steps pointedly showing that she would not be allowing the warrior to come any further on to the land of her clan. | |

| Having got a little bit distracted by all the new smells, the happy dog had fallen slightly behind his mentor, but bounded over to catch up once he smelt the Riverclan smell. Maplepaw's smell was also around, which confused him. Normally she followed the rules so well, and he was pretty sure that her mentor was still back in camp. Dropping the rabbit, he sat with a sigh and just listened to his mentor snapping at their intruder. Giving Maplepaw a gentle wag of his tail in greeting, he nosed her shoulder gently. “You okay, Maplepaw?” he asked quietly, tilting his head a little. She was young like him, maybe they could become friends and play a bit more. That'd be fun. | |

| Glacierpath flicked an ear and then his golden gaze fell upon Rosestar, who he didn't know what Rosethorn now as well as a dog that had appeared. The male tucked his tail between his legs and backed away, lowering his ears. He knew if he didn't leave now he would have to fight them and he wasn't used to fighting as much as he hoped. He didn't want to show to be a bad person in front of Maplepaw so he submitted to Rosethorn and whimpered as she snapped her jaws and growled at him. As the ginger she-wolf took steps towards him he took steps back and glanced towards the log that had saved him. He gulped nervously and bared his fangs and growled. He would've backed down but he was foolish and wasn't sure if the log was stable enough for him to leap onto. "I said that only because I am the laughing stock of RiverClan. I'm a dry-paw.......I don't like swimming." he growled at Rosethron before backing up further until his hind paws were in the water this time.
He gulped nervously and then leaped onto the log. It gave a creak in opposition before he leaped onto the opposite shore a second before it broke. He landed on the opposite shore and panted exhausted and out of fear. He glanced back at them and whimpered sadly. He wondered if he'd ever see Maplepaw again. Fearful and cowardly, he retreated and ran until he was no longer in view of them and them struggled to swim all the way back to camp.

| He'd made his way through the territory, he'd always been one to wander through it although he'd never been caught due to the fact that most didn't even notice he was there. Of course that was something the young male was proud of, he hated being the center of attention unlike bubblepaw and glitterpaw. Greystar had had quite the speech, droning on and on with the amount of pups becoming apprentices, of course age wise they were technically pups until about two years of age however the clans never made much sense in the first place. Lowering his head to lap at the clean swift flowing waters of the river, his indigo gaze was caught by two red females and a dog that obviously belonged to thunderclan. Not particularly wanting to be notice he turned and slipped into the shady shadows beneath a large flax plant that kept him hidden. He'd stay hidden until they left, and then some, other wolves were such a pain in the rear, all they did was care about themselves and yap yap yap on about it. They were like puzzles, so easy to fit together and figure out, others were games and yet they were games and puzzles he'd always win. | |

| Shadepaw’s quest to follow the small patrol as it rounded the corners was going well. He watched intently, creeping in the distance while watching the direction of the wind so his scent would not carry over to them and alert them of his presence… that was when things got interesting. He saw a RiverClan apprentice come out of hiding once the patrol had passed. He’d been far enough back to still be in the relative area and his own sneaking skills must have hidden him from view of the other wolf. “Why hide from a patrol when you're on your own side of the border unless you have something to hide?” He asked, mildly amused. It was possible that the apprentice was doing what he had been doing. He had thought, however, that RiverClan preferred to dive into the water. He tried not to be standoffish, his tail wagging slowly behind him though his eyes still held a guarded look. It was just an apprentice – if it came down to it, Shadepaw had enough confidence in himself that he’d at least be able to put up a fight. “I’m Shadepaw. Who’re you?” | |

| Narrowing her eyes as the Riverclan wolf ran back to the log and jumped the river, Rosethorn snorted to herself, it wasn't her problem if he could swim or not that was not an excuse for trespassing. Flicking a look at Maplepaw surprised and disappointed that the youngster had broken the warrior code, it was highly unlike the youngster to do anything that'd break the code after all form what Rosethorn had seen Maplepaw was a stickler for the rules. Remembering that the Fresh-kill pile hadn't been looking that generous she made the decision to take the apprentices to the fire pond for a spot of hunting. Not noticing the small blue wolf who'd shown up and retreated into the shadows, "Come on Maplepaw and Angus we'll go to the fire pond and do some hunting, the fresh kill pile needs restocking and it seems the rest of the clan is too lazy to do it" how many wolves and dogs were just milling about with their tails up their jacksies. Her torn up ears flicked about listening to the sounds of the world around her, taking the time to mark the border again, the small scarred up wolf was doign her best to push back the dark thoughts and memories that had been planted in her head. She headed off with a quick glance over her shoulder to make sure that the two apprentices were following nad keeping up ~Fire Pond~ | |

| Grizzly, the blind dog had made his escape from RiverClan territory on his own turn. Though he wasn't exactly sure where he was. He could hear fast-moving water but he couldn't see where it was coming from. He unknowingly walked right past Silentpaw and towards the bank of the river. He lapped at the water a little before hearing voices. Those of which coming from across the river, but they weren't spoken to him. Maplepaw? Angus? Another dog perhaps?! Joy overflowed and he found himself barking to see if they could hear him. Maybe ThunderClan was the right choice after all. He could smell them now, his wet tail wagging behind him, spraying the ground behind him with water. His fur lying flat against his back, he appeared to be very thin. | |

| Flattening her ears back unhappily as Rosethorn charged up and chased Glacier-path off, she watched him leave through quiet eyes, he'd seemed nice and kind despite having a low self esteem since he didn't like getting wet. Perhaps he'd like to join thunderclan sometime and he could have fun with her and Angus, managing a smile at Angus she loitered by the river side not wanting to go back to camp but it seemed that Rosethorn had other ideas. Watching as she announced that they'd hunt at the Direpond, the red and cream female became more distressed. She couldn't really hunt, she'd never been taught, so she stayed behind after Angus and rosethorn had left, sitting down watching the river with a soft sigh the sound of barking, looking up she tensed seeing a dog bigger than her barking loudly. Scared that he wanted to hurt her she managed to relax herself a little once she'd spotted te dogs tail wagging. Still she couldn't help but back up into some bushes in an attempt to hide, she didn't know the old dog was blind and didn't know that he was friendly, unable to fight to defend herself she crouched down hoping he might miss her. Her coat blended in perfectly with the leaves at this time of year so she was fairly confident that he'd miss her. From her 'hiding' spot she noticed that the dog although big was fairly thin as his thick coat was plastered against him thanks to the water it'd picked up during the dogs travel to the border. | |

| He'd stepped out of the shadows once they'd gone, closing his unusual eyes to enjoy the warm sunlight, a voice however broke him out of this moment of peace. Annoyance glittered in the silent apprentices gaze, was it too much to want to just have some peace and quiet to himself? Ugh, others were indeed insufferable, finding the owner of the voice to be a black wolf with blue eyes, the blue and silver male snorted softly. I hid from the patrol because i didn't want to deal with some orange tart having a rage at me Brushing his tongue over his shoulder absently, his gaze returned to the black wolf as they introduced themselves as Shadepaw, he didn't really care who the stranger was he just wanted to be by himself. He knew however that Thunderclan wolves were thick as two bricks, and that he'd likely be followed if he went elsewhere, sitting there mulling it over for several long moments it was a good twenty minutes later before he finally spoke. His voice was raspy from not having used it in days "Silentpaw." He didn't offer anymore information, he didn't talk to others after all, indeed his sister Glitterpaw was the only one he'd readily talk to although he disapproved of her lifestyle and life choices. He'd been considering standing in the water and batting at it, but now there was another here that idea was dead and gone, tilting his head, almost glaring at the black wolf he found himself as usual starting to work him out. | |

| Grizzly, upon hearing no response lowered his ears sadly and blinked his eyes. From Maplepaw's vantage point, his eyes were milky and almost colorless. He sniffled a bit and lowered his tail. He turned his head away from the river and stood there before the coldness became too much and he began shivering. He sighed deeply. "Perhaps ThunderClan isn't the right Clan for me to join after all." he said softly, though she could hear him from where she was. He tucked his tail in and began his slow trek away from her but half-way there his paw slipped and he almost fell into the river. He lay on his side gasping for air as he nearly had a heart-attack. | |

| Season |
Leaf-Fall has finally started, with the nights gradually getting cooler. Perhaps snow is on the way, perhaps it will be late this year. Either way, the dark shadow that was over the clans seems to have finally lifted, leaving them in peace for now to stock up on rpey for the coming cold months.
This season's successful numbers are: 1, 3, and 8
