| First topic message reminder :The ShadowClan camp is situated in a grove of mangroves where the water has long since dried up, since before the Clans arrived. To make dens, the members have woven leaves and twigs through the top of the exposed roots. The camp gets fairly muddy in leafbare but is pleasantly cool and sheltered from the hot greenleaf sun. The leader's den is directly underneath one of the biggest mangroves, and when addressing the Clan the leader leaps up onto the 'roof' of their den. | |

| The red female returned to camp and padded over to the medicine den, setting sleetpup down she told the two medicine wolves what had happened "Lusterpelt, she bit off his tail and ate part of his stomach" she should feel repulsed by the idea but she just felt nothing. Her pale eyes had nothing in their depths, and she could feel the raw wound paining her with every heart beat, yet it was a wound that neither Ivyshade nor Tremblepaw could see, the wound on her heart and soul wasn't something that could be healed by medicine wolf herbs and knowledge. The broken female padded away back into the shadows, wanting to be away from everyone, it'd be so easy to just let herself wane and die, now that she thought of it how on earth had Blackwidow known that she'd lost Jaydust, had she been watching? She dismissed that thought, th eolder female would have said something earlier if she had been, curling up in a quiet corner of camp with her nose hidden by her fluffy tail the lean scrawny Bramblerose closed her eyes, instead of thinking of the present she took solace in her past. remembering having met her father for the first time, and spending time with him, drifting off to sleep she dreamed of what had been and what might have been had fate not broken her and left her with nothing. | |

| She'd watched as Direheart, Minkfur and Bramblerose left camp and headed off to go rescue Sleetpup, worried and anxious for her clan mate the youngster paced about full of tension. While she wasn't close to Sleetpup he was a member of the clan and so she cared deeply about his well being. Perking up as Bramblerose returned with him, bile rose in her throat as she explained what someone called Lusterpelt had done, Bramblerose spoke the name as if she should know it but she didnt. Nuzzling the little white pup gently the medicine wolf apprentice spoke softly "Its okay Sleetpup Ivyshade and i will make it not hurt anymore I promise" not sure what she should do the new medicine wolf apprentice looked up at the medicine wolf waiting to be given orders that she might be able to help Sleetpup. She still had the herbs that she'd fetched for Ivyshade, despite her crippling anxiety the idea of being able to help Sleetpup seemed to give her a way to handle it. In the heat of the moment when it was stressful and difficult she seemed to change, becoming firm and determined to help anyone who needed her help. | |

| Sleetpup had woken up and shivered in the care of Tremblepaw and Ivyshade. He tried to stand up on his fore-paws but his one paw was twisted rather badly and the scent of blood was all over him. His belly was bleeding a bit, his bitten leg and missing tail were the worst injuries he had besides his paw. He shivered on the laying position he was in and whimpered. He'd never forget this close call as much as he lived and he wouldn't trust a strange wolf ever again. He closed his eyes and whimpered, this time in pain, as he moved his injured hind leg. | |

| Considering everything, the male was a little frustrated that several wolves were lying about camp when they could be doing something to help out. His voice rang out rather stern "Thrushheart, since you're sunbathing, take Val and Blackwidow on a hunting patrol" The red and black warrior who'd just rejoined the clan would have to be careful on account of Nightstars injury he'd given her however he was quite sure that as long as she hunted small game she should be fine "Go to Shades outlook first, Take silverpaw with you" she looked bored enough as it was, Jesterpaw he didn't trust to chase all the prey off on purpose. The smell of wolf blood hit his nose as Bramblerose returned to camp with Sleetpup in her jaws, the pathetic little bundle was covered in blood and hung limply from her jaws. Unsure if he was alive or not the powerful silver and grey male padded over to the medicine den and stuck his head in. Watching as the pup seemed to come to life, Dragonstar grit his teeth, where was Minkfur? Wanting to know what exactly had gone on, the ex fighting ring warrior narrowed his green-yellow eyes and spoke again "Barkclaw, White demon, go on a quick border patrol" he didn't like this at all, Direheart and Tigerstorm were also missing from the clan camp, although he knew that Direheart had gone off with Bramblerose and MInkfur, he'd not heard anything from Tigerstorm for some hours now. Hopefully Barkclaw and White Demon would be able to find her alive and well. | |

| Blackwidow had been waiting by the entrance to see when Bramblerose and her rescue party would come back. And the scent of blood hit her before they even arrived. She caught a brief glance at the pup before Bramblerose took him to the medicine den. And it looked like the strange female had done a number on him. She crept closer to the den in order to get a better look and to possibly know if her former apprentice had figured out who the female was. When Blackwidow heard the name Lusterpelt she growled. "That's the name of Chesiregrin's mother, the one who bit her leg off and killed one of her other siblings." She remarked seeing as Dragonstar nor the new medicine wolf apprentice would know who that was. When Dragonstar called her name to go on a hunting party with Thrushheart, Val, And Silverpaw she nodded to the leader and went to find the newly made apprentice. Finding her in the apprentice den she called out to her. "Hey Silverpaw your going with Thrushheart, Val, and I on a hunting patrol." She told her before going to sit and wait for the rest of the hunting party to join her. Blackwidow knew that she would need to stick with smaller game seeing as her shoulder was mostly healed but she didnt want to test it by possibly reopening the wound. | |

| Barkclaw had been asleep in the warriors' den, but the alarmed voices of his Clanmates woke him up. He could hear growling and snarling and soon caught the scent of blood. He got up immediately, bolting to the den entrance and looking around for the cause of all the commotion. All he saw was a wispy shadow drifting out of the camp. What the heck was that? Could that thing have caused all the trouble? Had it injured someone? The large warrior didn't see anyone who was wounded, not until Bramblerose carried the limp form of Sleetpup into the clearing. His gray eyes grew wide with concern and surprise. How did that happen? He hadn't had much time to think about it when Dragonstar told him to go on a border patrol. He gave a slight nod before looking around for White Demon. When he found the dog, he padded over to him. "Ready to go? We can head over to the SunClan border first." | |

| The reddish-furred warrior lifted his head he heard Dragonstar address him. His jaws parted wide in a yawn and he stood up onto his paws, stretching. "Sure," he said. His yellow gaze shifted to the camp entrance when he caught the scent of blood, and saw an injured Sleetpup brought in. The warrior blinked. How did the pup get hurt? Had he sneaked out of the camp and run into a fox or something? Thrushheart was a rather heavy sleeper, so he hadn't woken up to the earlier commotion. He saw that Blackwidow was already informing his apprentice about the hunt so instead he took a seat by the camp entrance. He gave a small nod in greeting to Blackwidow when the warrior arrived, waiting for Silverpaw and Val to show up so that they could get started on the hunt. | |

| Val quickly sighed in relief when the alpha and beta returned from who-knows-where, and she paced back and forth while listening to their words. Three wolves then went after the pup, easing her nerves a bit more. So long as he was brought back safe, she'd be satisfied for the day. If not... Her guilt would be horrible. It was the job of every older wolf to take care of pups, and if one ever came to harm, especially by the claws of another wolf, they failed their job. It was such a daunting thing to happen after joining so recently. She didn't know if she was safer on her own, or with the clan. The she-wolf was about to head to the warrior den for a nap before the alpha mentioned her name. A hunting patrol...? Sighing, the she-wolf joined who appeared to be Thrushheart and Blackwidow. Only a moment later, one of the wolves who had gone after the pup returned with a bloody bundle. A panicked whine left Val as she realized it was the pup. "Ancestors... Why?" she breathed, hearing what had happened to the male. What kind of twisted wolf would do such a thing? It was more barbaric than the alpha of her last pack. Sure, the male was... undoubtedly sick and evil, but he wouldn't ever so such a thing to a pup. Even he saw their value! | |

| The apprentice had been taken by surprise by the strange scene before her. Two wolves had just entered the camp and attacked Sleetpup. Having only been an apprentice for a couple of moons, Antpaw knew that there wasn't much she could do to help. She could only watch in horror as one of the wolves carried Sleetpup away. Who were those wolves? They hadn't had any scent, or at least Antpaw didn't detect it. Before long, her mentor carried Sleetpup back into the camp; he looked quite wounded. It angered her that those two wolves had just waltzed into ShadowClan's camp and inflicted so much damage, to a pup no less. Would they come back, or had they been scared off? Antpaw wasn't certain, so she decided to remain on the alert lest they return. | |

| Padding quietly into the camp, Direheart took a quick stocktake of what was happening. It seemed that Bramblerose had beat him home, which meant that the worthless pup would be taken care of. Unsure where his apprentice had gotten to, the lean male flicked his gaze around until he spotted the gold and black male safely out of trouble and wandered over to a sunny spot to sit and rest. Dragonstar looked a little concerned about things, so he guessed that patrols were being sent out, and heads were being counted. Staying where he was until it was clear what everyone was doing, he padded over to the leader. “Is there anything I can do, Dragonstar?” he asked calmly, outwardly unaffected by all the happenings and chaos in the camp area. | |

| Ivyshade let out a sigh of relief as Sleetpup was brought back into camp. He was safe from the she-wolf, but not out of the woods yet. A large wound was open on his underside, and sticky red liquid leaked from several places along the young wolf's body. His paw also appeared crooked and twisted to the side, and his tail had been cruelly bitten off. "Tremblepaw, get me two Marigold flowers and three Rue flowers." With that, Ivyshade flicked an ear and grabbed a small root of ginger that she had sat earlier to the side. Taking care to chew it to a pulp, she propped the pup's mouth open and let the root poultice slide down the male's throat as a pain killer. Next, the Medicine Wolf bent over to lick the wound along his stomach, gently cleaning out excess dirt that had made it's way into the opening. After that, she carefully picked up a Lamb's ear leaf with her teeth and began to apply it to the long gash, doing her best to stop the bleeding. Without turning around, Ivyshade gave orders to her apprentice. "Chew them until they're almost a liquid, then spit it out on this leaf here." Moving another large lamb's ear leaf towards Tremble with her paw, the she-wolf continued to stop the bleeding, soon going to give focus to the misshapen paw. | |

| Sleetpup whimpered a little as he was examined by Ivyshade. He knew he was in safe paws, but he was still scared the she-wolf that had attacked him would be back for more. He opened his eyes faintly and stared at her but did everything and anything Ivyshade wanted him to do. He let her prop his mouth open and he swallowed the poultice obediently, though the mixture didn't exactly taste like the best thing ever and he wounded up gagging a bit after he had swallowed the retched thing. He then yelped in surprise as the green-eyed fae began licking at his stomach and then placed something on it. He moved his paws a little and gulped. The bleeding stopped eventually for there wasn't much of a deep gash there, but his worst wound had to be his bitten-through hind leg, which had yet to be treated. He looked up at Ivyshade. "A-a-am I g-g-going to die? I don't w-want to die." he said weakly. He was scared, fear-scent surrounding him, that once he healed he'd be completely useless. Will I ever get to be an apprentice? he asked himself in thought before he watched her examine his paw. It was sprained badly and swollen due to it, and the bleeding of that paw had stopped a while ago. His tail however would never grow back and so from now on he'd be a tailless wolf. | |

| Looking up at Ivyshade expectantly, a blank look flicked onto Tremblepaws face, what on earth was Rue? Her brief confidence faded and uncertainly crept onto her face, anxiety starting to kick start up in her gut the pup’s tail tucked underneath herself. Jerking back as Ivyshade suddenly grabbed for something next to her, self doubt ripped down her confidence leaving her staring at her paws trembling. She was so stupid, why had she thought that she would be smart enough to be a medicine wolf let alone a medicine wolf apprentice, she didn’t know anything, stupid, stupid stupid. Swallowing trying to rid herself of the lump in her throat she turned not feeling her paws and stumbled forward into the herb stores. Looking around with little idea of what she was looking for, she spotted some yellow flowers and guessed that must be marigold because she had no idea, although looking closer it became clear that there were many different yellow flowers, so she went for two of each. Her anxiety got worse as she realized she had no idea what rue flowers looked like, struggling to draw breath she tried to get herself together, Sleetpup needed her help but she didn’t know what to do, she didn’t know what the flowers were. She couldn’t go back without the right flowers but, what ones were the right ones?
Unable to speak or she’d burst into tears, the anxiety ridden puppy eventually brought Ivyshade all of the flowers that she thought could be it, hesitating when Ivyshade stated that she was supposed to chew them, but she didn’t know what ones were right. She was so stupid! Sleetpup needed her and she couldn’t do anything, she didn’t know anything, she was pathetic, disgusting, awful, she never should have agreed to do something that so obviously she’d be unable to do. “but I don’t know what ones are what Ivyshade” She finally managed to get out hoarsely and rather thickly, hunched over the herbs and trembling unable to look up and meet the eyes of her mentor whom she was certain would be angry and disappointed in her. Why was she alive? She was so worthless and useless, she couldn’t do anything, and had never been able to do anything, yet still she was an idiot enough to keep on trying. Waiting to be told off, snapped at or whacked, she hastily skittered backwards out of reach, she didn’t want to be hurt, she wanted to be good, but she wasn’t, she was inherently bad and stupid. The internal voice that always ripped her down and insulted her was screaming into her ears, overwhelming her, overpowering her and leaving her a mess. Starting to shut down in response to the mental voice she crouched down murmuring apologies over and over again, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, don’t hate me, I’m sorry” on and on they went underneath her breath, all the while her head berated her more for taking attention away from the badly injured and terribly brave sleetpup. She was such an attention seeker, she was an awful wolf, who’d never amount to anything, struggling to breathe the young pup who’d only just been made a medicine wolf apprentice and didn’t know anything was subject to the mental voice blowing things out of proportion and easily ripping away her confidence and happiness. | |

| Lifting his head as voices rang out, Jesterpaw got up and padded to the entrance of the apprentice den, his yellow eyes spotted the limp form of Sleetpup and the distinctive smell of blood. A wide savage grin spread onto his features, whomever had done this was fantastic! It seemed his mentor Minkfur was still out of camp which meant he had ample time to head out and cause some mischief. The only issue was picking where the best place to go would be, sitting down and ran his tongue over his shoulder his sly cunning mind went over what he could do. His ears swivelled around listening as the wolves in camp moved around but no one left, getting up onto his paws the red wolf stretched before making up his mind. He couldn’t escape the clan camp without being noticed if he used the usual exit so he’d have to make a hole in the wall of the camp in one of the dens and use that to escape without being noticed. Turning and vanishing deep into the apprentice den, the large wolf began to forcibly create a hole in the thick bramble wall that created the outside defences of the camp. Satisfied once he’d made a hole that was small but large enough for him to squeeze through with a little effort, he was soon out of camp and grinned rather smug with himself before he abruptly turned and went trotting off rather jauntily with his tail waving after him.

| Silverpaw watched with wide eyes as Sleetpup was recaptured and carried off by the strange female. Shortly after, three warriors went to fetch him back, and the fay couldn't help but wonder if their attempt was going to be too late. Surely the small male would be dead by the time they got to him, yet then again the strange she-wolf didn't seem as intent on killing him as she was on torturing him. "Strange, something about her seems familiar...but I couldn't have seen her before could I?" Yet Silverpaw could recognize something strikingly familiar about the way the stranger looked and conducted herself. Soon afterwards, Dragonstar called together a patrol and ordered Silverpaw to go along with her mentor and the new member named Val along with Blackwidow. "Wonder if we'll run into any other weirdos out there?" As much as Silver enjoyed mayhem, she knew well that she was not ready to face a wolf yet in battle. Turning her head, she quickly caught sight of Blackwidow approaching and nodded when the older wolf told her about going on patrol. "I just heard that, Mouse-brain!" She retorted silently, but gave the she-wolf a smile instead. "Ok Blackwidow, I'm coming!" She yipped in reply, bounding over to where the other warriors had gathered. Once there, the fay dipped her head politely in a greeting. "Hello Thrushheart, I'm ready to leave when you are," she barked, cocking her head in a pupish manner to her mentor. Hearing a hushed exclamation from Val, Silverpaw looked over to see Sleetpup being carried back into camp, his form torn and bloody. "Dang, she really made short work of him huh?" Feigning a look of horror, Silver gasped and looked on as the pup was carried into the Medicine Den, then turned back to the adults, a look of alarm clear on her face. "Will...he be okay?" She asked fearfully, spiking her fur out in shock at the male's condition. | |

| Ivyshade looked up as Tremblepaw explained the problem and apologized, making the Medicine Wolf sigh inwardly. Her apprentice had grabbed several types of yellow flowers, including marigold, rue, tansy, and dandelion. Stepping over to her, Ivy quickly separated the rue and marigold from the other flowers, and quickly shoved the unneeded herbs back into their former spots. "There's no need to apologize. It's my fault for not explaining to you properly in the first place. This here is marigold, and this one is rue. Chew them both to a liquid and place it on this lamb's ear leaf here." She instructed again, nosing to the leaf in front of the smaller fay. With that she turned back to Sleetpup, doing her best to stop the bleeding with the leaves she had. It didn't take long until the bleeding was back under control and she could focus on the unsightly stump of a tail that the pup had been left with. Although a loss tail was less serious then a loss limb or a ripped open organ, Ivyshade was careful to stop any bleeding that would occur by dabbing the wound with a leaf. Afterwards she glanced back at Tremblepaw to see how the apprentice was doing with her assignment. | |

| Thrushheart dipped his head in greeting to both Val and Silverpaw as they arrived. Now that everyone was accounted for, they could get going. "I'm ready to leave now," he responded to Silverpaw. He stood up onto his paws, but paused when he heard his apprentice's question. Silverpaw was quite visibly frightened; Thrushheart himself was rather worried about Sleetpup's condition, too. The pup was in such fragile shape, but it was truly a wonder what herbs and some time could do with regards to healing. "Ivyshade is a very talented medicine wolf. I'm certain that Sleetpup will get better under her care." Hopefully that was true. He knew that sometimes medicine was not enough, but it was better to be optimistic about things. "I guess we should head off now," he added, with a look towards the other three wolves in the patrol. He took off in the direction of Shade's Outlook, hoping that they'd be able to catch some prey despite the season. ~Shade's Outlook~ | |

| The dog hadn't responded to him, so Barkclaw assumed that he was ready. He wanted to get going as soon as possible anyways. "Well, let's leave then," he said to White Demon. The wolf headed outside of the camp, following the familiar path to the SunClan border. Would the ground already be covered with snow there, considering SunClan's higher altitude? He wasn't really a fan of leafbare. If only it could been newleaf already. He let out a soft sigh, before shaking his head. There was no point in thinking about warmer weather, not when it was so far away. He returned his focus to the border patrol, hoping that they wouldn't run across anything of alarm when they arrived. ~ShadowClan and SunClan border~ | |

| Blackwidow tail twitched in annoyance on having to wait for the apprentice. She just wanted to get out of the camp for awhile and actually do something normal like hunting. All the strange wolves with their shadowdy pelts she knew from being a previous leader what those wolves could be but she knew to keep her mouth shut. The last thing the clan needed right now was to panic. Blackwidow shook her head to clear those thoughts, right now she needed to focus on the hunt. Leafbare was here and the clan needed as much food as they could find in these hard times. She followed after Silverpaw, taking up the rear in order to watch for any more danger.

| Silverpaw gazed upward at her mentor as he explained optimistically that Sleetpaw was likely to get better. While the apprentice had her doubts at the truth of his words, she decided to not voice her opinion. Instead she turned once more to look at the Medicine Den before replying. "Yeah... I hope so," she responded, looking a little worried. Shortly afterwards, Thrushheart mentioned about heading off to which the fay perked up a little. "Ok!" She woofed in reply with more noticeable enthusiasm. Afterwards Silver padded out of the camp after her mentor, taking in the many sights and smells of the forest as she trotted along.

| Season |
Leaf-Fall has finally started, with the nights gradually getting cooler. Perhaps snow is on the way, perhaps it will be late this year. Either way, the dark shadow that was over the clans seems to have finally lifted, leaving them in peace for now to stock up on rpey for the coming cold months.
This season's successful numbers are: 1, 3, and 8
